Our Mission
The mission of Norfolk Data Science is to teach, motivate, mobilize, and empower others to create a community that respects the power of data science. Norfolk Data Science achieves this through presentations by data science professionals and hands-on data projects for social good. By allowing beginners and experts to collaborate we accelerate learning while fostering meaningful relationships across a diverse set of backgrounds to strengthen competencies of the group as a whole. We view our efforts as a “win-win” solution because we are able to cultivate data science talent while providing data science solutions to organizations in need.
